Job Type:  Full time (40 hours/week); PTO and benefits

Summary:  Drive Engineering is currently seeking a highly-motivated ITS/Traffic Designer with 0-2 years of experience. This individual will primarily perform varying tasks related to traffic, ITS, and transportation management associated with roadway construction projects. 

Primary job responsibilities will include plan development, design calculations, field surveys, field inspections and inventories, and technical writing related to various aspects of civil, electrical, ITS, and traffic engineering including traffic signal retiming, traffic impact studies, safety analysis, ITS system design, permitting, ITS architecture, and simulation modelling. Participate in marketing and proposal process by keeping resume up to date.

Education and Requirements

• BS or MS Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (EIT preferred)EIT and ability to obtain PE license within 2 years
• Undergraduate course work related to Roadway, Electrical, ITS and/or Traffic Engineering
• Experience with AutoCAD, and/or Microstation
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Familiarity with PennDOT publications, MUTCD, and AASHTO guidelines
