Job Description

Drive Engineering is currently seeking a highly-motivated ITS Engineer with 3+ years of experience performing varying tasks related to ITS design, plan development, plan review, specification writing, systems engineering, fiber optic network design, and technical report writing. Experience preferably includes Pennsylvania (PennDOT and PA Turnpike) project work and/or surrounding states. Primary job responsibilities will include plan development, plan reviews, design calculations, field surveys, technical writing, and construction services related to various aspects of ITS and Systems Engineering.

Requirements

• BS or MS Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
• EIT and ability to obtain PE license within 2 years; PE and PTOE preferred 
• Undergraduate course work related to Transportation required
• Undergraduate course work related to ITS, electrical wiring, and/or communications network design preferred
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Familiarity with PennDOT ITS standards, MUTCD, and AASHTO guidelines
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation is required
• Ability to travel to project meetings/field views throughout the Mid-Atlantic region
• Ability to work from client facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region
