Drive worked as part of a large project team to demonstrate the delivery of a more accurate work zone  information source via Waze and Trip Talk for current smart phone users. To do this, a prototype application utilizing CV DSRC Onboard Units (OBUs) was installed on both a truck mounted attenuator vehicle and an evaluation vehicle.  The pilot system supported traveler (and PTC maintenance operations) information for stationary (shoulder, single, or multi-lane closures) as well as mobile work zones.  In addition, the system addressed lane and shoulder closures as well as off-shoulder work zones.
